Belle Rive is Millington’s custom-home enclave on the Fox River’s far bank — homes of roughly 2,200 to 3,200 square feet on two- to three-acre lots along Belle Rive and Ehrenwald Drives, several with river access, and no HOA.
Belle Rive occupies the quietest position in an already-quiet village: the far bank of the Fox River at Millington, where Belle Rive Drive and Ehrenwald Drive carry a small collection of custom homes on two- to three-acre parcels. This is the neighborhood Wikipedia’s Millington entry singles out as the community northwest of the river — physically part of the village, but with its own approach road, its own school district, and in most cases its own county, since these parcels file on the LaSalle side of the line that splits Millington.
The homes went up mostly between 2001 and 2017, with the core of construction in the early-to-mid 2000s. These are individual custom builds rather than production plans: roughly 2,200 to 3,200 square feet, three to five bedrooms, side-load garages, and the kind of siting decisions — long setbacks, tree lines preserved, river orientation — that only owner-driven construction produces. Several lots run to the water and carry dock or water rights on a stretch of the Fox that sees more herons than boat traffic.
The market here is patient by nature. Sales history shows homes trading in the $200Ks and $400Ks in earlier cycles and $600,000 to $760,000 in recent years — a five-bed closed at $725,000 in May 2026, and the one active listing asks $699,900. With no HOA, owners answer to covenants and common sense rather than a board, and turnover runs one or two homes in a good year. Buyers who want this combination — acreage, river, custom construction, LaSalle-side taxes — typically watch for a season or two before the right one surfaces.

The enclave’s signature product: 2,600–3,200 sq ft custom two-stories from the 2000s build-out on two- to three-acre parcels, several with river orientation. Recent sales — including $725,000 in May 2026 — define this band, with the 2023 peak at $760,000.
See listings →The enclave’s earlier and more modest homes — roughly 2,200–2,600 sq ft — have historically traded below the recent headline sales, with mid-cycle closings in the $400Ks. Condition and river position drive the spread more than square footage.
See listings →Lots closest to the Fox carry the premium: listing records cite waterfront positions, water rights, and a dock among Belle Rive’s amenities. What conveys varies lot by lot — frontage, deeded access, or neither — and we verify it in writing before any offer.
