History
Originally settled in 1833, Oswego’s history runs deep. The village was named after Oswego, New York β an Iroquois word meaning “mouth of the stream.” The ford across the Fox River helped the village grow economically, and it was officially incorporated in 1852. The Little White School Museum preserves artifacts and exhibits from Oswego’s past, including its role in the Underground Railroad.
